Rosette Christopher is an elite exorcist of the Order of Magdalene, on a mission to destroy evil spirits and ultimately reclaim her younger brother Joshua who was kidnapped as a child by the demon Aion. Her partner in this mission is Aion's twin brother Chrono, to whom she contracted her life at the age of 12. Her contract allows Chrono to survive, however it significantly shortens her lifespan. Her remaining time ticks swiftly away on the watch she wears around her neck.

Construction Notes:
I originally made Rosette's militia uniform in 2010 for a masquerade skit and at the time, it was the first costume I had ever made using a sewing machine as opposed to sewing by hand (YIKES). I love Rosette as a character and was never happy with my first attempt. I completely remade this in 2015 when I actually knew what i was doing and am much happier with the result! The top portion of Rosette's uniform is a heavily modified combo of Simplicity 4015 and Simplicity 1558, while the skirt portion and habit were patterned by hand. The corset is based on a pirate under-bust pattern and is steel boned. It laces up in the back, and a extra fabric panel closes over the lacing to hide it. The trim on the sleeves, habit, and clips on the corset are craft foam covered in fabric, while the collar is stuffed with batting and trimmed with brown bias tape. The gold accents are layered worbla, craft foam, and gold posterboard hooked through with metal studs. The green front pouches are fully functional, as are the side holster and back ammo pouch. Rosette's gloves and boots are store bought to which I attached the trim and worbla accents. The only item which remained unchanged between both versions is the watch, which I made with soft Sculpty, and inserted an actual timepiece from a wristwatch before painting it. Steel wires form the gold cage, and painted pushpins were used for the time setting knobs. A leather cord loops through a hole drilled through the top of the watch. Sketch made Rosette's gun/holy water shooter by heavily modifying a plastic replica Colt pistol, wood, worbla, while the Mauser gun is a replica one we found online.
